As a rule: The lower the ticket number (thickness), the coarser the sewing thread. For example, a polyester yarn with thickness No.120 is much finer than a thread with thickness No. 20. The higher the tex number, the coarser (stronger) the thread. The lower the tex number, the finer (thinner) the thread.
