The Novoflex ASTAT-NEX Tripod Collar Mount is a tripod mount and support made specifically for EOSM, NEX, LEM/LER lens adapters and Sony E-Mount lenses, in order to provide support for a heavy lens & adapter as they're attached to a relatively tiny Sony NEX series camera body. Novoflex offers a variety of lens adapters for the mirrorless NEX series cameras, for Pentax, Canon, Leica, T2-mount, and many more lens types. The collar clamps around the lens adapter and takes the weight of the lens and adapter off the camera when mounting to a tripod. The tripod collar features both 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads for attaching to a tripod head, and the Arca-compatible bottom allows the collar to be clamped securely by most Arca-Swiss-compatible quick-release mechanisms, including the NOVOFLEX Q=System. The collar features a textured knob for tightening the ring around the lens adapter. To execute quick changes between horizontal and vertical orientation, just loosen the knob and rotate the NEX adapter & camera body – the adapter is able to turn a full 360° within the collar.
