Product description
Here at Lakeland, we’ve loved the captivating effect of the Northern Lights Colour Changing Fir Cones for many years now – positively mesmerising, they make a fabulous addition to the atmosphere of any wintry evening in front of the fire. But we got thinking… why should it just be a winter’s night experience? After all, sitting under the stars around a campfire, fire-pit or chiminea with friends, family or your best-beloved is already a special occasion so why not add a little extra magic? How they Work Throw 2 or 3 of these little pine cones with a special coating into the flames of your fire and watch the medley of blues and greens turn the dancing flames into glorious technicolour, creating an effect that’s truly memorable. Approx. 30 to 40 cones per pack. And even the hexagonal box can be burned. About Northern Lights Winter Woods are the largest employer in the tiny Wisconsin town of Glidden. The company was started as a one-man operation in 1976, by a US forestry worker who supplemented his income making festive wreaths. Owner Steve Lewis employed local people to help meet demand and, wanting to be able to offer a reliable year-round income, he racked his brains for new ways to expand the business. Realising that the pinecones lying on forest floors were going to waste, he offered the best ones to American florists and designers, while the smaller or damaged ones were dipped into a special copper sulphate solution which, as any chemistry teacher can tell you, burns in pretty blues and greens. So Winter Woods manage to save pine cones from going to waste whilst offering year-round employment to their local community without chopping down any trees unnecessarily. Please note: remove all cooking grills before using in a fire-pit-style barbecue and do not cook above them, as the colour-changing coating can be harmful if swallowed. Approx. 30 - 40 cones per pack.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
