Product description
The Norbar Torque Screwdriver is accurate, comfortable, durable, and easy to use. Its accuracy exceeds the minimal requirements of ISO6789 (plus/ minus6% for tools up to 10 Nm). It is supplied with a 1/4in hexagon bit holder. It comes supplied with a traceable calibration certificate (for the clockwise direction). The comfortable, durable handle is constructed using two materials; a base material for strength overlaid with a soft feel grip for comfort and slip resistance. For maximum versatility and particularly for applications with limited access, the bit holder can be removed and replaced with widely available screwdriver blades. The screwdriver allows for easy torque adjustment without the need of additional specialist tools, and also has a lock to prevent accidental adjustment of the set torque. The tool &ISQUO ;slips & RSQUO; when torque is achieved, removing the possibility of &ISQUO; over tightening & RSQUO;. Kits come with a range of 12 bits, packaged in a quality hinged box. The Norbar 13702 Torque Screwdriver Kit, comes with the following: 3 x Torx Bits: T10, T15, T20. 5 x Male Hexagon Bits: 2mm, 2.5mm, 3mm, 4mm, 5mm. 2 x Phillips Bits: PH1, PH2. 1 x Flat Bit 3mm. 1 x 1/4in Male Square Bit. In 1942 the "North Bar Tool Company" (as Norbar was then known), became the first company in Britain to commercially manufacture a torque wrench. The initial demand was driven by the need for the gasket-less cylinder head of the Rolls Royce Merlin engine to be accurately tightened. Bill Brodey and his partner Ernest Thornitt obtained a licence from Britain's war-time Government to begin manufacture of torque wrenches and Norbar was born.
