One is using 3 AAA 1.5V batteries, another one is using the cable and plug, please use the plugs which are less than or equal to 5V 1A output. You can not remove the cable and plug when you use the base without batteries. Press the button for the first time, the light will change colors very slowly. Press it again and the light will change colors faster. When the button is pressed for the third time, the light will change color to white and stop changing colors automatically, and each time the switch is pressed thereafter, the light will change and stay in one color. The fourth time you press the button, the color of light is red; the fifth time is blue and the sixth time is green. Press it the seventh time, the light will turn off.
