Its 15mm slim design makes the NF-A12x15 ideal for space-saving applications such as low-profile CPU coolers or HTPC chassis. The PWM version sports Noctua's specially designed NE-FD1 IC for fully automatic speed control via 4-pin fan headers and comes with a low-noise adapter to reduce the maximum speed during PWM control from 1900 to 1700 rpm. Its excellent smoothness, reference class SSO2 bearings and Noctua's proven premium quality make it an elite choice for the highest demands. 15mm slim design At just 15mm thick, the NF-A12x15 is much slimmer than traditional 120 x 25mm fans. This makes it ideal for typical slim fan applications such as low-profile CPU coolers and for space-saving use by replacing standard 120 x 25mm fans on tower coolers, radiators or in PC cases. Metal reinforced motor hub With many slim fan designs with larger diameter, the shorter axle and bearing lead to reduced running stability and service life. The NF-A12x15 uses a metal-reinforced motor hub, a measure normally found on high-speed industrial fans, to ensure Noctua's signature stability and durability. FLOW ACCELERATION CHANNELS The NF-A12x15 impeller features suction side flow acceleration channels. By accelerating the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces the suction side of the flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.
