About this item
  • 2001 Nobel Prizes Presentation Pack printed no. 327 (PP295)
  • Issued by the Royal Mail on 2nd October 2001.
  • Marking the Centenary of the Nobel Prizes, this pack features six previous winners each giving their thoughts on one of six Prize categories. There is also a list of all the UK winners up to 2001.
  • The pack contains a set of six stamps and they are perhaps the most extraordinary stamp issue that the Royal Mail have ever released. The 2nd stamp uses silk-screen printed thermochromic ink, which changes colour to reveal the nucleus of the molecule when the ink is warmed by the heat of the hand; 1st Class uses intaglio printing; the E Class has an embossed Dove of Peace; when scratched the centre of the green cross on the 40p emits an odour reminiscent of Eucalyptus; the 45p uses micro printing high magnification; and the 65p uses a hologram as it's central element.
  • Ideal as a gift or keepsake.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days โ€” so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
