Product Description Repair & Care SOS Body Lotion: The effective formula with dexpanthenol and Hydra IQ ensures an intact skin barrier and provides the skin with long-lasting moisture. Mode of action Dexpanthenol (panthenol), also known as pro-vitamin B5, plays a decisive role in the formation of skin cells as well as in the overall skin metabolism. It increases the ability of the horn layer to bind water and improves its elasticity. This improves the moisture binding capacity of the skin and prevents new moisture loss. In addition, Hydra IQ acts as a moisturiser. Hydra IQ is an active ingredient derived from the compound of glycerine and glucose. This active ingredient is able to lead to a new formation of so-called aquaporins in the cells of the epidermis. Aquaporins are small water channels in the outer cell membrane and are crucially involved in the transport of the body's own moisture in the skin.
