Description This is an original Nikon HN-22 lens hood to fit the Micro Nikkor AF D 60mm f/2.8 macro lens for 35mm and digital SLR cameras. A lens hood provides shading for the front element of your lens, excluding extraneous light which can cause unwanted reflections, flare and loss of contrast. For the best results, a hood designed for the correct angle of view should be used. The hood is very lightweight at only around 20g, nicely made from metal with a matt black finish inside, and Nikon logo outside. It measures around 20mm (0.8 inches) long and 85mm (3.3 inches) in diameter, and screws into the thread on the front of the lens. As it uses a standard 62mm thread it's also suitable for many other lenses with this size filter thread and effective focal lengths of 60mm or longer.
