For labelling by hand, we recommend opaque white pens or opaque silver pencils. You can create a very fantastic effect by using an opaque white pen to "prime" your text or embellishment, i.e. on the card to then tracing again with a slightly thinner pen in any desired colour after drying. For example, your text gets a white border, which provides the greatest possible contrast to the black card and thus makes the colour on it really glow.
