Chafer grubs are the larvae of chafer beetles and they can quickly devastate a lawn. Control chafer grubs naturally by treating with Green Gardener Chafer Grub Killer containing millions of natural nematodes. Chafer grubs attack the grass roots causing the grass to yellow. They are also a source of food for large birds i.e. crows and woodpeckers as well as foxes and badgers and these birds and animals do more harm to your lawn by ripping it up to get at the grubs. It is best to treat withe nematodes in the Autumn (Sept/Oct) when the chafer grubs are newly hatched as they are the most susceptible to the nematodes PLUS the soil is warm (the treatment needs a soil temp of 12°c) and the grubs are close to the surface. HOWEVER you can treat at any other times of the year i.e. in the spring/summer, but the mature chafer grubs are much harder to kill, so you must treat in September as well.
