The 12x12 drainage grate, as part of a complete drainage solution, works with 12 in. catch basins, low-profile adapters, and risers that are connected to drain pipes to carry the water to a discharge point downstream such as a pop-up emitter, or to percolate into the ground with a dry well or infiltration trench. The 12 in. drain grate is made of polyethylene, a type of plastic, treated with UV inhibitors prevent cracking and fading in the sun. Strategic openings on the 53.1 sq. in. open surface area provide 162 GPM flow rate capacity. The storm drain grate is rated for NDS Class B loads when properly installed and is ADA compliant.
