Please do not be fooled by the supposedly difficult running behaviour, this is generated by a pretension of the cones and adjusts after a few kilometres of mileage. In case you want a pedal with smooth running behaviour before assembly and use, we recommend our S-Pro series, here the "S" stands for sealed bearing = precision bearings. These come without a cone and no preload is required. We only use this technique in professional cycling.
