Product Description Watercolour artist David Bell is renowned for his historic marine, aviation, and steam locomotive paintings. He combines great technical skill with imagination and vision to create evocative and atmospheric works with incredible attention to detail. This 1000-piece puzzle depicts the launch of HMS Eurylus on 6 June 1803 at Buckler’s Hard on the River Hamble, ahead of her fitting out at the naval dockyard in Portsmouth. She was a 32-gun frigate and, like others built at Buckler’s Hard, including HMS Agamemnon and HMS Swiftsure, she took part in the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805. After Nelson’s death at the battle, Admiral Collingwood took command of the fleet and transferred his flag from the badly damaged HMS Royal Sovereign to the thus-far-unscathed HMS Eurylus, making her flagship of the British fleet.
