Only recently has it started gaining popularity more widely. Unlike mature broccoli (from the cabbage family), Raab is related to turnips, which is why its germination is very similar. Sprouted broccoli raab leaves resemble turnip greens, with a flavour that combines broccoli and spinach, with hints of mustard greens. Expect a complex, peppery, rich profile with subtle bitterness, warmth and nuttiness. These broccoli sprouting seeds can be grown in jars or trays, making it easy to produce a fresh batch at home.
