This tester measures TDS, EC and temperature, with a backlit screen for clearer viewing in different light conditions. It supports TDS readings from 0-9999 ppm, EC readings from 0-9999 μS/cm and temperature readings from 0-60°C / 32-140°F, making it suitable for tap water comparisons, filtered water, aquariums, hydroponics, pools and other freshwater uses. The meter is powered by 2 standard AAA batteries, which are not included. AAA batteries are widely used in many homes, and the design allows users to use existing or rechargeable AAA batteries instead of relying on pre-installed disposable batteries. Operation is simple: remove the cap, switch on the meter, immerse the probe between the min/max lines, stir gently and press HOLD to lock the reading. Rinse the probe after each test and replace the protective cap before storage. Please note that this product provides reference readings for TDS, EC and temperature. It does not test for specific substances such as lead, chlorine or bacteria, and it is not suitable for saltwater, strong acids or strong alkaline liquids. Directions Uncap → power on → immerse probe (between min/max lines) → press HOLD to lock readings. For long-term use, rinse the probe with clean water after each test, store with the protective cap, and remove batteries if unused for over a month. This tester is for freshwater only – not suitable for saltwater or strong acids/alkalines.
