- NASTURTIUM TRAILING MIX SEEDS: A hardy annual, flowers the same year as sown. For climbing, as a summer screen or trailing ground cover. Easy-to-please and fast growing even on poor soil.
- SOW: February to June, FLOWERS: June to October, SPACING: 60cm, HEIGHT: 180cm, SUNLIGHT: Full Sun, SEEDS: 35 Approx.
- SOW INDOORS: For earlier flowers, 1.5cm deep, individually in small pots of compost. Keep moist. Gradually accustom plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out 35cm apart, when frosts are over. Do not feed nasturtiums, as this will encourage leafy growth rather than flowers.
- SOW OUTDOORS: Where they are to flower, 1.5cm deep, directly into finely prepared soil which has already been watered. Sow two seeds together every 35cm. Seedlings usually appear in 21-28 days. Remove the weaker plant, which can be transplanted elsewhere if desired. Water well.
- Edible: Nasturtium flowers and leaves can be added to salads.
- Caution: Humans: Skin allergen.
