Natural and Healthy Method: The most natural way to grow shiitake mushrooms. This method mimics nature and its process. No chemicals or additives required. These dowels are very easy to use with this kit you simply select a recently felled hardwood log of choice ( up to 8 weeks old) such as Oak, Birch, Ash, Chestnut. Your log should be up to 1.2 metre’s long and between 10 & 20 cm in diameter. Your spawn log dowels are professionally packaged inside our sterile laminate flow hood using a heat sealed bag with a breathable patch to ensure the dowels are still of the finest quality on there arrive to you. Your Shiitake dowel log will fruit mushrooms in Spring and Autumn once your log is colonised (This can take as long as a year and as little as 3 months).
