- OPERATION The MultiFlap valve remains closed under static conditions and opens when there is flow through the valve, e.g. when the toilet is flushed. The closed valve provides an obstruction for vermin who may attempt to enter the toilet.
- BACKFLOW When there is back pressure downstream of the MultiFlap non return valve, the pressure closes the flap of the valve, reducing backflow.
- MATERIALS The MultiFlap valve/flap is moulded from black Polypropylene (PP). The rubber seal is manufactured from Thermo-Plastic Elastomer (TPE) and over moulded to the body. The flap is secured with a hinge and pin and spring that are made from non-rusting marine stainless steel. Made from materials that are resistant to chemicals likely to be used for cleaning.
- No maintenance of the valve is required, however the MultiFlap can be removed without causing damage, to allow for the removal of blockages or replacement of pipes
- The MultiFlap excelled in a performance test of over two million opening and closing cycles and showed no sign of deterioration. The MultiFlap will have a life span of more than of 30 years in the opinion of the Government body which tested the valve
