Product description
Product Description Parsnip gladiator f1 seed by Mr. Fothergill's. Large, canker resistant roots. Canker resistant, this is an early to mature variety with deliciously flavoured smooth white roots. Useful Information: Suitable for exhibition and showbench; Awarded the Royal Horticultural Society Award of Garden Merit; Vitamin C; Vitamin E; Folate Sow and grow: Outdoors: sow thinly February-May, where they are to crop, 1.5 cm (1/2-inch) deep, directly into finely-prepared, light, fertile soil, which has already been watered. Allow 40 cm (16-inch) between rows. Early sowings may benefit from cloche protection. Seedlings usually appear in 14-32 days. Thin plants to 20 cm (8-inch) apart. Replace any dislodged soil. Water well until plants are established. Leave roots in the ground until required, as they improve after exposure to autumn frosts. Harvest: October-February. Hints and tips: A deeply-dug soil will help this variety attain its full size and produce exhibition-quality roots. Box Contains 1x 200 Seeds Pack
