Product Description Cleome Colour Fountain Seed by Mr. Fothergill's. Dramatic, scented border plant. Huge, lightly scented flower heads in shades of pink, rose, lilac and white above slightly spiny stems. Great impact in borders. Height: 120 cm/48-inch Plant Class: Half Hardy Annual (HHA). Habit: Tall, Upright. CAUTION: Mature plants develop small spines on their stems.Useful Information: Full sun; Suitable for cutting; Suitable for attracting Bees; Perfect for PollinationSow and Grow: Sow indoors, February-April. A warm kitchen windowsill is all you need for starting these seeds. Sow, 0.5 cm (1/4-inch) deep, in trays of compost. Water well and place in a warm position. A temperature of 15-20 degree C (60-68 degree F) is ideal. Keep moist. Seedlings usually appear in 14-28 days. Transplant them, 5 cm (2-inch) apart, to further trays when large enough to handle (always hold by a leaf, never by the stem). Grow on in cooler, but not cold conditions. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions (avoid frosts), before planting out, May-June, 45 cm (18-inch) apart, into well-drained soil, when frosts are over.
