Product Description Foxglove Alba Seed by Mr. Fothergill's. Tall and elegant in early summer. The pure white form of the nantive foxglove. One of the most striking plants we know. Likes shade. Allow plants to shed their seeds to get further plants in subsequent years. Height: 120 cm/48in Plant Class: Hardy Biennial (HB) Habit: Tall CAUTION: Toxic if eaten. Useful Information: Partial shade; Suitable for attracting Butterflies; Suitable for attracting Bees; Perfect for Pollinantion Sow and Grow: Sow outdoors, April-July, in a seed bed, 0.5 cm (1/4-inch) deep, directly into finely-prepared, well-drained soil, which has already been watered. Seedlings usually appear in 21-35 days. Thin seedlings to 5 cm (2-inch) apart, when large enough to handle. Keep moist and weed free. Plant out to flowering position in autumn, allowing 25 cm (10-inch) between plants. Or sow indoors, April-July, 0.5 cm (1/4-inch) deep, in a tray of compost. Water well and place in a cold frame, unheated greenhouse, or a warm kitchen windowsill. Keep moist. Transplant individually, when large enough to handle, to 7.5 cm (3-inch) pots. Always hold seedlings by a leaf, never by the stem. Gradually accustom young plants to outside conditions, before planting out into well-drained soil, September-October, 25 cm (10-inch) apart.
