Manufacturer's Description MouseRugs and CoasterRugs are inspired by the original rugs such as trational Persian hand-knotted wool carpets and designs originally made for the Persian Royal Court as well as rugs orginating from countries such as Iran, Afghanistan, Uzbekistan, America, West Africa and South America. MouseRugs and CoasterRugs are made by a company based in America, who digitally scans the "real hand-woven rugs" using the digital artwork with a patented fibre called Lextra to coat rubber pads. The base material is a natural rubber and the fringe is produced by the same company in the Carolina's who are well-known makers of full size rugs. Inspired by the hand-knotted designs of Northern India, this contermporary Jaipur shows how design themes introduced to the sub-continent by 16th Century Mughal Lords from Persia have survived for centuries.
