It is way more robust, and at the critical points it is reinforced with metal parts. Fits perfectly into most MOUNTAIN TOP shutter locks, just make sure your black part looks the same as mine does. I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
