About this item
- The Motor City Classics Militaria Diecast Sd.Kfz.9 FAMO is a 1:43 scale replica of Germany’s 18-ton half-track recovery vehicle, one of the most powerful prime movers of World War II. Used by Wehrmacht armored units for towing disabled tanks and heavy artillery, this model authentically captures the massive size and engineering detail of the real Sd.Kfz.9.
- Built with exceptional accuracy, this FAMO model features a military field-gray finish, realistic track detail, and rolling rubber front tires. The open cab includes finely sculpted interior seats, dashboard, steering wheel, and engine grilles, while the rear section showcases the characteristic towing framework and winch assembly.
- Constructed primarily from diecast metal with plastic detail components, the Sd.Kfz.9 18-Ton Half-Track balances durability and realism. The treaded tracks, molded suspension, and high-definition body panel lines reflect Motor City Classics’ dedication to quality and precision in their Militaria Diecast range.
- This model recreates the Wehrmacht heavy recovery vehicle as used on the Eastern and Western Fronts during the final years of World War II. Authentic Balkenkreuz insignia and field-applied weathering effects give the model a lifelike wartime appearance suitable for historical display collections.
- At approximately 7.25 inches long × 2.5 inches wide × 2.75 inches high, this 1:43 scale diecast model arrives mounted on a black display base within a Militaria Diecast window box. Designed for collectors aged 14 and up, it’s the perfect centerpiece for any WWII military vehicle collection.
