Product description
Tyr, the god of war and law, corresponds in much to the Roman war god Mars. At first, he was the main god of the Germans, until gradually Odin replaced him as an all-father and main god. Tyr was considered the protector of the Thing, the tribal gathering. His symbol is the sword with which he plunges himself into the battle. His spear is both weapon and sign of judicial violence. In order to tie the Fenris wolf (Fenrir) through the magical restraint Gleipnir, Tyr sees himself required to hold the dangerous wolf its own hand as a deposit in the mouth. However, when the wolf realizes that the gods want to keep him captivated, he bites Tyr his hand, and he must fight with his left hand from now on. In the Ragnarรถk (the twilight of the gods), Tyr kills Garm, the hell dog, but he comes to death himself. Made of artificial stone and painted by artist with a detailed bronze paint.
