Mikov builds on the centuries-old tradition of manufacturing small industrial goods and knives in the Czech Switzerland, specifically the area of Mikulášovice and Lipová. The first factory, which is a direct predecessor of today's factory, was founded in 1794 by Ignaz Rösler, a merchant in Mikulášovice. Today, Mikov is the largest manufacturer of knives in the Czech Republic. The POCKET knife is a precise and elegant instrument that meets the highest demands in terms of quality and workmanship. The clean lines, strong construction, surface resistance and nobility of the steel further enhance the distinct signature of the olgon chorchoj studio designers. The Knife Set was premiered at Designblok 2015 in Prague, where it received the Editor-in-Chief Award. This was followed by success at Tokyo Design Week 2015 and a prize for the producer of the year at Czech Grand Design 2015. Everything was crowned with the Red Dot Award 2016.
