An innovative, new accessory to the MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp System, the MATCHFIT Dado Stop makes crosscutting safer and takes the guesswork out of creating precise dado cuts. Innovative Design The MATCHFIT Dado Stop has a unique design that makes creating tight-fitting joinery simple and easy. Using the Dado Stop is simple with a three step process, woodworkers can cut cross dados with absolute precision for half laps, inlays and other tricky joinery without measuring, marking or test cuts because the actual stock that is going to go into the groove is used to gauge the cut width. By accounting for the thickness of the material plus the blade kerf, the Dado Stop makes it simple and easy to set the width of the dado cut, ensuring a perfectly matched fit. A cinch to use, the MATCHFIT Dado Stop is secured to a table saw rip fence with a MATCHFIT Dovetail Clamp. Then the width of the dado cut is set in a simple three step process: Step 1: set the kerf; Step 2: set the dado; Step 3: cut the dado. Versatility The MATCHFIT Dado Stop not only allows for cutting very accurate cross dados, it can also be used for calibrating the rip fence scale. As the fixed center leg on the Dado Stop is exactly three inches long, the rip fence can be set so that the fixed leg of the Dado Stop is just touching the teeth of the blade, and then the rip fence scale can be calibrated to exactly three inches, making cross-cutting with this setup amazingly accurate.
