Make-up Artist Tips To apply the mascara, place the wand at the base of your lashes and, while looking downwards, slowly move the wand from side to side. This will immediately distribute mascara onto lashes ready for you to shape. Shape your lashes by using the wand to draw mascara up through lashes to the tip. Sculpt and define your lash fan using the brush tip. In case of mistakes, use a moist cotton bud to remove any smudges.
