THE MATCHA Broom The Matcha broom, also called Chasen or Cha-Sen, is a bamboo whisk used for preparing matcha tea. By whipping the matcha tea with the chasen, the fine matcha powder is homogeneously mixed with the water. On the surface is the so-called matcha foam, which tastes particularly creamy and delicious. The matcha foam can also be used great for preparing desserts. Preparation: 1-2 g of matcha powder are placed in a matcha bowl and pour approx. 70-100 ml of 80° hot water. Then the matcha tea is beaten with the Cha-Sen preferably with hand movements in the shape of the letter "M", foamy.
