Directions For babies and young children, place the child on the back, slightly tilted to the side, or sit and well supported. Prepare the syringe without needle by drawing 5-10ml of sterile saline or saline, then gently insert the olive into the tip of the syringe. Carefully insert the olive into the nostril and slowly press the syringe to dispense the solution, the liquid will come out of the other nostril or mouth, which is perfectly normal. Repeat the other nostril. For adults or older children, follow the same process using 10-20ml saline or saline. You can also tilt slightly over a sink and water from one nostril, letting the liquid flow out of the other, thus ensuring an effective and comfortable wash.
