• MARROW TIGER CROSS F1 SEEDS: A high quality bush variety which is quick to grow and early to mature. Plants show good resistance to Cucumber Mosaic Virus for reliable, prolific crops of tasty fruit. Winner of an RHS Award of Garden Merit for reliability and good performance.
• SOW: March to May, HARVEST: June to October, SEEDS: 10 Approx.
• FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – March to May. WHERE - In pots of seed compost. HOW - Sow singly into pots, edge down into the compost. Cover with 1.5cm of compost. Firm gently and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15-20C. Seedlings appear 7-14 days. CARE - Remove cover when seedlings appear. At 5-6 leaf stage, stand outside for a few days late May (avoid frosts). Transplant 90cm apart in growing position. HARVEST - June to October. Pick regularly to encourage cropping.
• FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN – May. WHERE - In a well prepared seed bed in growing position. HOW - Sow 2 seeds per position, 90cm apart. Cover lightly with 1.5cm of fine soil. Firm gently and keep moist. CARE - Thin to one seedling per position. HARVEST - June to October. Pick regularly to encourage further cropping. TIP: Can also be cut as courgettes when young but best grown as marrows.
