This model works in conjunction with the room light switch, when the light is switched on the fan comes on, when the light is switched off the fan continues to operate for a pre-set time. IMPORTANT - Requires permanent live, switched live and neutral wires (3 cores excluding earth) at the fan connections to function correctly. IET Regulations (U.K.) allow for IPX5 fans to be installed into zone 1 without the need for low voltage transformer.
