• 0.5 mm medium-fine tip on this pen is a good balance between the thicker 0.7 mm tip, which is a Western European standard thickness for a medium nib and the 0.38 mm fine nib. This 0.5 mm wide tip is ideal for most paper and ink types, as a 0.7 mm wide nib is often too thick and can lead to excessive ink prints on poor quality papers. 0.38mm is often too fine unless you do very detailed writing.
