• LUPIN RUSSELL MIX SEEDS: A famous strain, originally developed in the 1930's. Magnificent colourful flower spikes are produced early in the summer. Spectacular planted in groups.
• SOW: March to July, FLOWERS: May to July, HEIGHT: 120cm, PREFERS: Full Sun, SEEDS: 60 Approx.
• FOR INDOOR SOWING: WHEN – March to June. WHERE – In trays of seed compost. HOW - Sow thinly, cover lightly with compost and keep moist. Cover with glass, polythene or propagator lid. Keep at approx. 15°C. Seedlings appear 21-28 days.
• CARE - Remove cover as seedlings appear. When large enough transplant to individual small pots, disturbing roots as little as possible. Gradually acclimatise plants to outside conditions. Then transplant 60cm apart in flowering position from late summer onwards. FLOWERS – May to July, the following year.
• FOR OUTDOOR SOWING: WHEN - April to July. WHERE – In a prepared seed bed. HOW - Sow thinly in rows 30cm apart. Cover lightly with fine soil. Keep moist. CARE - Transplant 60cm apart in flowering position from September to October. Keep moist and weed free. FLOWERS – May to July, the following year.
