Product description These non-foaming blends are for use in whirlpool, hot tub or sit bath. Available in single use 4 oz. packets or 2 lb. economy size jars. The Dead Sea lies at the bottom of a tectonic trench formed more than two million years ago. Since this trench is more than 400 meters below the Mediterranean, it is, incredibly, the lowest point on Earth. The Dead Sea, actually a lake, has no southern outlet, no flow. Nothing lives in this water; no fish, algae or mollusks. The closest American parallel is the Great Salt Lake, which also features spectacular saline formations. With a greater solid content than any other body of water - 30 Pct. compared to about 6 Pct. solids in ocean water - a uniquely dense combination of potassium chloride, magnesium chloride, sodium chloride, calcium chloride and bromides has formed. Ocean salt is more than 97 Pct. sodium chloride, but Dead Sea Salt has a very low concentration of sodium chloride, and a high proportion of magnesium and potassium.
