LOCTITE EA 3430 – Water-resistant 2 part epoxy resin adhesive for DIY work The adhesive from LOCTITE was created for bonding glass, decorative panels or showcases. It is suitable for a wide range of materials such as ceramics, thermosets, wood or as a metal adhesive. Thanks to its highly transparent colour, the joints are almost invisible. In addition, the wood adhesive impresses with its high strength and water resistance. Application is very easy due to its medium viscosity, and at room temperature, the adhesive can quickly fix parts. Surfaces must be dry, clean and free of grease. Resin and hardener must be mixed before use. The product can be applied directly from double cartridges using the static mixer provided. Discard the first 3 to 8 cm of the dispensed bead. Thoroughly mix product removed from double cartridges (ratio by volume or weight). When mixing by hand, weigh or measure the desired quantities of resin and hardener. Continue mixing for approx. 15 seconds after homogeneous colouration has been achieved. Do not mix quantities exceeding 20 g, as there is a risk of excessive heat generation. Smaller mixing quantities minimize heat generation. Apply mixed adhesive to a joining surface as quickly as possible. Parts should be joined immediately after application. The working time of the mixed adhesive is ≤4 minutes at 22°C. Fix parts against each other during curing. Allow adhesive to cure completely before placing full load on parts.
