Product description

The willow we offer for sale here is Salix viminalis, one of the fastest-growing hybrids, and are typically used where fast growth is required, such as hedging, windbreak, fedging (fence/hedging), domes, arbours, biomass, basketry and many other things.. We offer the whips in lengths from 30cm (1ft) to 90cm (3ft), and we offer the whips in quantities of 5, 10, 25, 50 and 100. For larger quantities, please get in touch. Willow along Poppel have the highest CO2 catching (within a given time) of ANY trees grown in the UK. Biomass growers know this, why this hybrid frequently is used for bio-fuel. Salix viminalis grows (straight) to a final height of 8-10m if left untouched, but is often coppiced (at ground level for bushy growth), or pollarded at the desired height for a more artistic/structured look. This type of willow is also the normal choice for so-called 'Living Structures' or garden art. Planting season. This willow can be planted from October to end of February. This is whilst the willow is dormant and can be handled easily Planting method. No soil preparation normally required. The whip (which is without a root) is just pressed into the soil by hand, ideally about to a foot down. If soil is too firm to allow this, poke a hole in the ground first with a screwdriver or another round metal object with roughly the same diameter as the whips. The willow can also be rooted in water.

I wrote to Bigamart's customer support and they accompanied the process of reshipping the item until it finally arrived. I felt a genuine effort to solve the problem till it was finally solved.
