Pot size: 5 cm Lithops sierra mix refers to a mixed collection of Lithops plants, commonly known as living stones or stone plants. Lithops are succulent plants native to southern Africa, known for their unique appearance that resembles small rocks or stones. The "sierra mix" indicates that the collection consists of various Lithops species and cultivars. Here are some general guidelines for growing Lithops sierra mix: Light and Temperature: Lithops prefer bright light conditions but should be protected from intense, direct sunlight, especially during the hottest part of the day. They thrive in warm to hot temperatures, generally ranging between 70°F (21°C) and 85°F (29°C) during the growing season. In winter, they prefer cooler temperatures between 50°F (10°C) and 65°F (18°C). Soil and Potting: Lithops require well-draining soil to prevent waterlogging, as they are susceptible to root rot. Use a specialized cactus or succulent potting mix amended with additional perlite or pumice to improve drainage. Avoid using soil mixes that retain moisture for too long. Watering: Lithops have a unique growth cycle that includes a period of active growth and a period of dormancy. During the growing season (usually spring to autumn), water the plants sparingly but thoroughly when the soil has dried out completely. Allow the soil to dry out between watering to prevent overwatering. In the dormant season (usually winter), reduce watering significantly or stop altogether.
