About this item
- Lesser bulrush, a tall marginal pond plant with slender upright leaves reaching 100 to 200cm, planted at a water depth of 0 to 40cm on a large pond shelf
- Spread of 100 to 150cm from vigorous roots, so plant it in large ponds and lakesides only, keeping it contained as it can pierce a liner and spread quickly
- Brown cylindrical flower spikes stand above the foliage from June to August, giving the strong vertical structure this tall marginal is grown for at water
- Grows in full sun in shallow water or ground that stays wet, forming dense vertical stands along a pond edge or wetland margin right through the season
- Medium to high difficulty as the growth is invasive and needs control, though the dense stands shelter insects, amphibians and other wetland wildlife at the margin

The package was here in Australia from England in a few days — so quick! Something was missing and they refunded it straight away. Pretty happy with these guys.
