ARTIE LONDON's ‘Dark Rhapsody’ is a premium cork grease made in the UK from pure black beeswax. Suitable for all Clarinet, Oboe, and Bassoon tenon corks, as well as Saxophone neck joint cork. Our cork grease is hand mixed from an old and original recipe. What's special about it, is that we have significantly reduced the amount of petroleum jelly in our formula using just enough to provide sufficient lubrication whilst preserving the integrity of the corks. In short, conventional petroleum jelly based cork grease penetrates the cork and compromises the glue used to stick the cork to the instrument. Our product will help preserve and maintain the integrity of the cork for longer, preventing contamination and deterioration of the adhesives used to secure the cork to the instrument, and ensuring healthy corks for longer.
