GVT-2010 10/100/1000Mbps adaptive Gigabit Ethernet media converter uses switching technology for media conversion. It complies with IEEE802.3, IEEE802.3u, IEEE802.3z and IEEE802.3ab standards. Currently, it supports two types of media network connection: 10Base-T / 100Base-TX / 1000Base-T and 1000Base-SX / LX, intermediate electrical signals of 10Base-T / 100Base-TX / 1000Base-T twisted pair with optical signals of 1000Base-SX / LX. It extends the transmission distance of the network from 100 m via copper cable to 100 km via fibre optic cable. GVT-2010 supports 802.3at / af POE PD function. It can connect the power supply via a UTP cable to a POE PSE switch or a mid-span injector. This feature makes the GVT-2010 ideal for remote areas of a network without power outages
