The LEKI DSS Tip is the official replacement tip for any LEKI trekking pole equipped with the dynamic suspension system and gives DSS poles a second life when the original tip is worn out. The DSS system is LEKI engineering at its most functional, positioning the antishock mechanism directly above the tip at the exact point where impact force enters the pole. This placement means the spring and elastomer components absorb the first shock before vibrations reach up the shaft and into your hands, wrists and elbows, reducing peak impact force by up to 40 percent and protecting joints, muscles and ligaments for long days on the trail. Each DSS Tip includes the complete DSS mechanism, a sharp carbide tip for reliable pole plants on rocks, packaged dirt and mixed surfaces, and installation instructions (English language not guaranteed). so you can complete the replacement at home. The tips are available in two shank diameter sizes to ensure a proper fit. Note that DSS Tips are only compatible with poles that have the DSS system and must always be used with an attached basket. Sold in pairs.
