The LAMP STATION 3184Y 4 Core Cable is a harmonised H05VV-F round PVC flexible cable built for indoor mains wiring. Insulated and sheathed to BS EN 50525-2-11 and rated 300/500V, it uses Class 5 finely stranded copper conductors rather than copper-clad aluminium, which keeps resistance low and terminations secure. Four colour-coded cores, brown, black, blue and a green and yellow earth, give a permanent live, a switched live, a neutral and an earth in one flexible cable. That is the combination an extractor fan with an overrun timer needs, and it also suits two-way and intermediate lighting circuits, switched appliance feeds, control wiring and panel wiring. Choose the conductor size to match the load. 0.75mm carries 6A for lighting circuits, control and signal wiring. 1mm carries 10A for fan units and light fittings. 1.5mm cable carries 16A for switching and general appliance feeds. 2.5mm cable carries 20A for heavier fixed loads. White and black sheaths are the same cable, so choose the finish that suits the run. White works on light walls and ceilings, black on trunking, enclosures and darker surfaces. Supplied cut to length, from short leads up to 100m reels, coiled and packed to unroll without tangling. Rated for indoor, dry locations from 0 to 60 degrees C. Not suitable for direct burial, unprotected outdoor use, or contact with grease or oil.
