With the right basics and a little fingertip feeling, the traditional restoration technique is also feasible for creatives. Kreul leaf metal is attached to decorative objects with Kreul application milk. The wafer-thin metal is available in gold, silver and copper. This means that high-gloss effects are possible on numerous surfaces made of wood, glass, cardboard, porcelain and much more. Simple accessories such as picture frames, wooden parts or bowls become so luxurious looking art objects. This is how it works: the surface to be designed must be clean, free of dust and grease. Apply Kreul application milk and allow to dry transparent (duration at least 20 minutes). Apply leaf metal and gently press with a soft, dry brush. Carefully remove residue with a brush or cloth. After drying (min. 12 hours). Gently polish with a soft polishing cloth or cotton wool. Allow gold-plated objects to dry for several days and paint over with Kreul coating varnish for metal leaf to protect against corrosion. To protect the decoration outdoors as well as on surfaces such as concrete, plaster, terracotta and clay Kreul zap paint. The leaf metal is suitable for the following surfaces: wood, glass, paper, canvas, cardboard, polystyrene, plastic, wax, ceramic, porcelain, dried concrete, terracotta, foil, metal and leather.
