- CHARACTERISTICS: Kniphofia Poco Red plants, commonly known as Red Hot Poker plants, are a type of herbaceous perennial plants with clumps of grassy, green foliage and tall spikes of tubular shaped flowers in shades of coral red.
- GROWTH AND SPREAD: These garden plants can reach an ultimate height and spread of approximately 0.3-0.6 metres.
- CARE AND MAINTENANCE: Plant in moist, well-drained soil, ideally loamy or sandy although it will tolerate most soil types well. Although it can grow well in partial sun, flowers will bloom best in full sun.
- PERIOD OF INTEREST: During milder winters, foliage can remain all year round, whilst flowers begin to bloom in midsummer and continue to bloom until the early autumn months.
