The fibre disc FS 966 ACT from Klingspor is suitable for heavy work. It is used in the grinding of stainless steel and is characterised by a high aggressiveness, a long service life and its microcrystalline self-sharpening effect. In addition, it has a multi-binding that prevents the formation of tarnishing colours. These fibre discs are available in a variety of sizes and sizes. Aggressive and durable: self-sharpening ceramic corundum. With the Klingspur fibre disc FS 966 Act, good grinding results can be achieved over a long period of time, because the high aggressive properties remain the entire service time. For good material removal, a ceramic corundum, a sharp-edged and pointed grain, which is hard and very z.h. Ceramic corundum is self-sharpening due to its microcrystalline structure. If the top tip of a grain is dull, it breaks off and creates a new sharp-edged tip. Thanks to this self-sharpening effect, the service life of the fibre disc is accordingly high. With the fibre disc FS 966 ACT, the abrasive grain is densely scattered and therefore covers almost the entire surface. This dense dispersion further increases the service life and ensures perfect results when grinding stainless steel. Another special feature of this disc is the excellent grain adhesion provided by the top coat of synthetic resin. Compared to natural binders, it has a better adhesive strength and is characterised by its very high strength. No tarnishing colours thanks to multi-binding. A cool cut is ensured with the fibre disc FS 966 ACT by the multi-binding. In this type of binding, the abrasive is provided with an additional coating. This reduces the temperature at the grain tips and the adhesion of spills of the factory. In this way, it prevents heat discolouration when grinding stainless steel. In addition, it increases the service life and thus reduces the consumption of abrasives.
