The alarm incorporates Kidde's highly effective detector technology and a sleek designer finish. The digital display shows carbon monoxide readings that are taken every 15 seconds, indicating any changes in CO levels. The alarm can be wall mounted (fixtures supplied) or free standing. Powered by three replaceable AA alkaline batteries (supplied) the life of the alarm is ten years with a matching ten year manufacturer’s warranty. The batteries are replaceable and do not last ten years, the ten years of life refers to the CO sensor. CO levels are displayed from 30ppm (parts per million) with a loud 85 decibel alarm sounding after concentrations from 50ppm are detected. A warning "chirp" and digital display message indicates when batteries are low. An end of life warning signal alerts you when the alarm needs replacing. The alarm is certified for use in caravans and on boats. Kitemarked to BS EN 50291-1 (domestic use) and BS EN 50291-2 (camping, caravans and boats), also CE marked.
