The 2020 Hammershøi Poppy Service was designed by Rikke Jacobsen. Their inspiration for this natural decor took her in the Danish countryside, where the poppy defies all weather conditions. The unique beauty of the poppy has captured Jacobsen in various stations: from the stem, to the first knsope to full bloom. Her hand-painted watercolour drawings, captured the classic white Hammershøi service, are full of details and radiate a sense of movement and life. The delicate pink colour of the poppy shows once again the fragility and grace of this plant. The typical Hammershøi grooves underline the stylish design of Hans-Christian Bauer.
