Kay Bojesen is one of the most renowned Danish designers and his famous handicrafts are highly sought-after. It was not until the 1930s that the designer discovered his passion for wood. By 1957, he designed his popular wooden animals. The designs are placed in the unique border area between fantasy figure and design object. In Kay Bojesen's designs, both form and object, as well as seriousness and play merge into one unit. At the same time, Bojesen had the unique ability to bring wood to life, which has made his works international design icons. Kay Bojesen died at the age of 72. Its products are manufactured today by Rosendahl in close collaboration with the Bojesen family.
